Clothing & Essentials Collection Drive

Canberra Tamil Association (CTA) is organising a community clothing collection drive to support families in need and vulnerable individuals.

Date: 13 June 2026
Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Venue: Tamil Senior Citizens Association Hall, 11 Bromby Street ISSACS
CTA kindly asks for your support by donating the following items
- Clothing in good condition ONLY (summer, winter and cultural wear)
- Shoes for both kids and adults
- Children’s story books (for ages under 15)
To help with sorting and distribution, please
- Ensure all cloths are clean and in usable condition and respectfully presented
- Pack summer, winter and cultural clothing separately
- Clothing must be dropped off strictly by 2 PM on the day
Transport Contribution $$
CTA kindly requests everyone (if possible) donating clothes to also contribute towards transport costs, which will directly support this charitable effort. As a community organisation, CTA relies on your generosity to ensure the collected items safely reach those in need.
Volunteers Needed
CTA is looking for volunteers to assist with receiving and sorting donations on the day. If you’re available to help, please get in touch with CTA.
